The SU Theta Tau chapter’s regent is a student at Le Moyne College, according to his LinkedIn.

The president of Le Moyne College said on Thursday a member of the Le Moyne community was involved in the now-suspended Syracuse University Theta Tau fraternity.

Theta Tau, a professional engineering fraternity, was suspended Wednesday after SU confirmed that the organization was involved in creating “extremely racist, anti-Semitic, homophobic, sexist, and hostile to people with disabilities,” SU Chancellor Kent Syverud said in a campus-wide email Wednesday. The university refused to release the videos, but The Daily Orange posted a recording of one of the videos Wednesday night.

Linda LeMura, Le Moyne’s president, said in a statement that the actions in the video do not represent the college’s values.

“This behavior is the antithesis of everything that Le Moyne, as a Jesuit institution, stands for — including tolerance, acceptance and inclusiveness,” LeMura said.

Alexander Fox, who was listed as a regent on the SU chapter of Theta Tau’s website, is a student at Le Moyne, according to his LinkedIn. He was an administrator or moderator in the secret Facebook group that contained the videos obtained by The D.O.

The SU chapter’s website was made inaccessible Wednesday afternoon.

Le Moyne is working with SU on the investigation of Theta Tau, LeMura said.

LeMura said in the statement there will be a listening session Friday with her leadership team.
