Syracuse freshman quarterback Chance Amie is transferring, he tweeted Saturday.
I would like to thank Syracuse for everything they have done for me. I appreciate all of the coaches, staff, and players but I will be transferring from the University this next semester. No interviews. ?

Amie, who redshirted his freshman season, departs a thin Syracuse quarterbacks room. The Orange currently have rising redshirt senior Clayton Welch and rising redshirt sophomore Tommy DeVito. Rex Culpepper, the quarterback turned tight end, could move back to the position.
Syracuse doesn’t currently have a quarterback committed or signed in the Class of 2019, though Dino Babers and the coaching staff still have some scholarships on the table ahead of national signing day in February.
