Syracuse plays Minnesota on Dec. 29 in the Bad Boy Mowers Pinstripe Bowl at Yankee Stadium. The game ended in a loss for the Orange with a final score of 28-20.

Four members of the SU football team meet Minnesota’s players at the center of the field for the coin toss to decide who gets possession of the ball first. SU lineback Marlowe Wax Jr., defensive lineman Caleb Okechukwu and offensive linemen Carlos Vettorello and Dakota Davis are the four chosen for the toss.

Fans anxiously watch the game as Minnesota intercepted and ran the ball. Syracuse fans filled most of Yankee Stadium, creating a sea of orange on the left side of the scoreboard.

Senior defensive back Isaiah Johnson runs the ball toward the end zone as a Minnesota player leaps in to attempt a tackle. Johnson made six total tackles and four solo tackles during the game bringing him to 47 tackles for the year.

Junior quarterback Garrett Shrader waits for the center to hike the ball to make a move down the field. Shrader completed only 32 out of 51 pass attempts and ended with 330 passing yards for the game.

As part of the Spirit Squad, the Syracuse Marching Band attends the bowl game to cheer on the team. Both schools brought their marching bands, which meant one performed at halftime and the other during pre-game.

Linebackers freshman Kadin Bailey and sophomore Marlowe Wax Jr. celebrate a defensive play resulting in change of possession. The pair had a total of eight tackles for the game.
