Wide receiver Phoenix Henriquez has committed to Syracuse’s 2026 class, he announced on social media Wednesday. Henriquez is the seventh player to commit to SU’s 2026 class. The wide receiver chose the Orange over schools including Maryland, Delaware and Connecticut.
Henriquez is a junior at Smyrna High School (Delaware) and is listed at 6-foot-1, 165 pounds. He isn’t a rated recruit by 247Sports or On3, though he does have one more year of high school to change that.
Across 11 games as a junior, he recorded 85 catches, 1,055 yards and 11 touchdowns. Across two seasons on varsity, Henriquez has totaled just under 2,000 yards on 143 catches with over 20 touchdowns.
Henriquez is yet another recruit from the northeast, a region that Fran Brown has tried to dominate since taking over as Syracuse’s head coach. He joins BJ Garrett as the second recruit from Delaware in SU’s 2026 class. Maurice Medley, who’s from Maryland, also hails from the northeast.
