Dominic Perfetti, a four-star long pole defender, has committed to Syracuse, Prep Lacrosse’s Ty Xanders announced on social media. Perfetti is the latest recruit to join head coach Gary Gait’s impressive 2026 recruiting class, which includes two five-star and four other four-star recruits.
Perfetti is the No. 72 overall player in the class of 2026, per Inside Lacrosse. He’s an imposing figure, standing 6-foot-8 while weighing 215 pounds. The defender is a junior at St. John Bosco High School (California). He’s the second long pole to join the Orange in a week following Jayden James’ commitment.
Along with being a force on the lacrosse field, Perfetti shined playing basketball for St. John Bosco. He helped the Braves win a California Interscholastic Federation Boys Basketball Division I state championship. Perfetti scored nine points in a 78-62 win over San Ramon Valley.
Syracuse currently holds the No. 6 2026 recruiting class, according to Inside Lacrosse. Notre Dame, Duke, Virginia, North Carolina and Harvard sit ahead of SU.
