Syracuse women’s lacrosse released its 2025 schedule on Wednesday. The Orange will play 10 teams that made the 2024 NCAA Tournament while hosting both teams that made the national championship in Boston College and Northwestern.

SU begins its season against UAlbany on Feb. 7. The Great Danes are led by Syracuse great Katie Rowan, but the Orange won 20-11 in last year’s rendition. A date with Cornell is set for Feb. 18. SU defeated the Big Red on the road last year, 17-4.

To begin Atlantic Coast Conference play and their road slate, the Orange head to Chapel Hill on Feb. 22 to face North Carolina. Syracuse dismantled UNC in 2024, 20-5. Just three days later, SU returns to the JMA Wireless Dome to host Northwestern on Feb. 25. SU narrowly fell to the Wildcats to begin the 2024 season.

For more nonconference opponents, Syracuse travels to Baltimore, Maryland, on March 19 to take on Loyola. Last season, SU beat the Greyhounds, but they return one of the top players in the nation in Chase Boyle. Nine days earlier, on March 10, Syracuse will face Johns Hopkins. The two teams have faced each other only once, when the Orange won in 2023.

SU previously played Stony Brook as a nonconference opponent in recent years, but the Orange will now travel to New Haven, Connecticut to face Yale on April 2 instead. Syracuse took down the Bulldogs in the NCAA Quarterfinals last season.

Continuing ACC play, the Orange will play Stanford and Cal. SU hosts Stanford on March 7 but travels to California to face the Golden Bears on April 5.

Syracuse faces Boston College on April 17 to close its season once again. SU has lost its last seven contests against the Eagles, including the 2023 and 2024 Final Four.

2025 will be SU’s fourth season under head coach Kayla Treanor. The Orange are 49-15 under Treanor, making the Final Four in two of three seasons. SU captured its first ACC Regular Season Championship in 2024.
